Chip Coyle is a growth-oriented marketing executive recognized for building brands and leading high performing teams for dynamic, global businesses. A 3X CMO recognized for revolutionizing software and technology brands, he has helped large and small businesses achieve their goals while leading collaborative and high performing global marketing organizations..
Most recently Chip served two years as global CMO on the leadership team for ECI Software Solutions, a cloud business software company running 28K small and medium-sized businesses throughout North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. During his two years there, he restructured a global marketing organization and tripled market reach with integrated marketing campaigns, creating demand across diverse industries. He also created a customer marketing team, led personalized industry-specific value messaging, and delivered a high-performing website, helping achieve double-digit growth in 2023, his first full year.
From 2020 to 2022, Chip was CMO for Blue Prism, where he led the repositioning of the global intelligent automation and RPA software provider.. There he overhauled the company's website with new branding and voice, led an award-winning online customer community initiative, rebooted an Analyst Relations program, launched a new global PR program, created internal and customer industry councils, and instituted integrated marketing campaigns in seven industries, achieving 40% growth in the first year
Before founding Coyle Marketing in 2018, Chip was SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Infor, a $3B privately held global enterprise software provider. Over seven years, he led a major brand transformation and competitive positioning of the company as it pivoted from a legacy ERP software provider to an innovative SaaS leader. As CMO, Chip drove Infor’s global marketing plan across all products, industries, regions, strategic business partners, and acquisitions. He led all global demand generation, advertising, corporate communications, PR, and analyst relations. and regularly spoke at customer and partner events and conferences. He also led marketing diligence for M&A targets and the subsequent integrations of marketing plans, teams, and systems. The company nearly doubled in revenue during his seven-year tenure.
Prior to Infor, Chip spent 18 years with Oracle in progressively expanding marketing leadership roles, during which time the company grew from $1B to a $35B global brand. As Vice President of Americas Marketing, he was responsible for leading demand generation programs and field marketing teams that delivered half of Oracle's worldwide license sales, across all products and industries, during a time of more than 70 acquisitions.
Before that, Chip spent 6 years as Public Relations Account Executive with KSK Communications, a full service marketing and advertising agency in Vienna, Virginia. There he executed public and media relations programs for B2B and B2C software, hardware, and network providers, systems integrators, and government contractors.
Chip earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from the University of Virginia. A native of Arlington, VA, he enjoys long distance running and spending time with his wife and three adult children. He is a Board Advisor for Blue Marlin Partners private equity firm.
